Yes, for the first month: the kit has the floater, both cartridges, strips and Jump Start shock. Add a Refill Kit (3 SmartChlor cartridges) to carry you the rest of the mineral cartridge’s four months.
At a drain and refill. Balance pH and alkalinity first, add the Jump Start packet with jets running, then set the floater in — the video above walks through it step by step.
SmartChlor holds a deliberately low free-chlorine level and the minerals do the rest, so ordinary strips misread it. Use FROG @ease Test Strips — the single color tells you the cartridge is fine or empty.
