When pH reads below 7.2. Low pH is acidic water — it corrodes heaters and seals and stings eyes. Add per label, jets on, re-test in 30 minutes.
Check total alkalinity first: below ~80 ppm the water has no buffer and pH swings with every bather. Raise alkalinity with FROG TArget, then fine-tune pH with JumpH.
