Serene uses bromine instead of SmartChlor chlorine. The minerals and the cartridge routine are the same; bromine holds up well in hot water and many long-time spa owners prefer its feel. Use standard bromine test strips — not @ease strips — with Serene.
Swap the bromine cartridge every 2–4 weeks depending on bather load, and the mineral cartridge every four months. Shock monthly with a Maintain packet.
