TidalFit Swim Spa Control Panel Fitment — Find Yours by Era

The control panel (Artesian calls it the topside control) is the display-and-button unit on your spa’s top rail. The right replacement depends first on your control system — a spa ordered with the WaVS swim system has a Gecko keypad, a spa ordered without it has a Balboa panel, whatever the year — then on the Balboa panel generation, your pump count and whether your spa has a swim system with its own electronics.

Pre-2013: legacy Balboa button panels — the ML700-style panel on EL systems, the VL-700 and the AX-10 pump-switch panels. The factory no longer lists the systems behind them; if yours has failed, the durable repair is an upgrade to a current system rather than a hunt for old stock, and we’ll map it for you on request. 2013–2017: the TP800 button panel, listed with TidalFit-specific printed overlays for 2-pump and 3-pump spas (and an early overlay labeled for the EP 14). If the printed surface is peeling or bubbled but the display reads normally, the overlay alone is usually the fix; a blank or scrambled display means the panel. 2019 on: the Spa Touch touch screen, used across TidalFit, Island Spas and Tropic Seas of the same years — a flat glass face with its own overlay. WaVS-equipped spas (any year the option was offered): the Gecko in.k1000+ keypad with the on-screen swim speed bar and Wi-Fi through the in.touch module — a different platform from every Balboa panel above.

Swift Water Trainer spas use the NEO Touch panel from the swim system manual — swim speed and workout screens, Bluetooth music pairing — which is a different part from every panel above. TidalFit Swim Spa Control Panels FAQs

Check the spa pack label first: a WaVS-equipped spa runs Gecko and takes the in.k1000+ keypad; a non-WaVS spa runs Balboa. On the Balboa side, match the generation: pre-2013 legacy button panels (no longer factory-listed), the TP800 button panel with overlay for 2013–2017, or the Spa Touch touch screen from 2019. Then match your pump count — the TP800 overlays come in 2-pump and 3-pump versions. A photo of your panel face powered on, plus your serial number, confirms it in one step.

If the printed button surface is peeling, bubbled or a button feels dead but the display still reads normally, the overlay is usually enough — TidalFit overlays are listed separately (TP800 3-pump 11-1103-11, TP800 2-pump 11-1104-11, Spa Touch 11-1900-08). If the display is blank, dim or scrambled, or buttons don’t respond through a good surface, replace the complete panel.

The Spa Touch touch screen appears in the 2019–2021 TidalFit parts books (factory number 33-1909-08, listed as fitting Island, Tropic Seas and TidalFit) on Balboa-equipped spas. If your panel is a flat glass touch face with the Balboa layout rather than physical buttons, you’re in this generation; a color keypad with a WaVS swim-speed bar is the Gecko keypad instead. The newer Spa Touch 4 appears in the dealer portal only — send your serial number and we’ll confirm which one your spa takes.

Yes — the TP800 TidalFit topside (33-1103-08, 2013–2017 books) is still factory-listed, and the factory directs the older 2-pump version (OP33-1106-08) to it as well. Pair it with the overlay for your pump count. If your spa was later upgraded to an MBP-series pack, tell us — we’ll confirm the panel still pairs before you order.

Only if your spa was built with the WaVS swim system, which is what puts Gecko controls in a TidalFit — the WaVS manual (published 2023) is written for the Gecko in.k1000+ keypad and the in.touch Wi-Fi module. A TidalFit ordered without WaVS runs Balboa, whatever its year, and cannot take a Gecko keypad without changing the whole pack. Photograph your spa pack label and we’ll tell you which system you have.

Yes. The factory lists a 25 ft cable extension for the TP panels (22-1308-08, 2013–2021 books); an 8-pin 25 ft extension for the older ML-700 panel (33-0644-08) appears in the 2013–2014 books but is out of stock at the factory. Tell us which panel you have and we’ll confirm the right connector.
