Artesian Elite Circulation Pumps

Your Artesian Elite circulation pump runs nearly 24/7 and is the pump the heater depends on — match it by intake/discharge size and cord connection, not by looks.

Artesian Elite Circulation Pumps — Match by Size & Connection

The circulation pump is the quiet workhorse that moves water through your filters, heater and ozone system around the clock. On Artesian Elite and Platinum Elite spas it is also the heater pump: the control will not fire the heater until this pump is moving water, and in 24-hour circulation mode it runs continuously. Replacements are matched by intake and discharge size and by cord connection — the factory’s Hi-Flo circulation pump has been listed across every line since 2005 and remains the current replacement, while 2008–2018 Platinum and Platinum Elite spas also used Laing circ pumps (including an IN-Link cord version on 2008–2012 Gecko-era spas) and a WhisperPure version in 2015–2016. The cord end matters as much as the pump.

A failing circ pump announces itself: new noise, weak flow at the filter well, an ozone icon that never appears, or heater flow messages on the display with the filters clean. And a circ pump that dies right after a refill was usually air-locked — the manuals have you fill through the filter well and purge the circulation line before power-up for exactly that reason.

Artesian Elite Circulation Pumps FAQs

Match intake/discharge size and the cord connection on your existing pump, then confirm voltage and frequency from its label. The factory’s current Hi-Flo circulation pump covers 2019 and newer Artesian Elite and most late Platinum Elite spas; Laing-style pumps on 2008–2018 Platinum and Platinum Elite spas are matched by the same rule. A photo of the label and the cord plug through the form below removes all doubt.

Because the manufacturer sets the circ mode at the factory — 24-hour, continuous, or programmable — and it cannot be changed in the field. Outside priming mode the panel shows the circ pump’s status but does not control it directly. If you need it off to service the spa, use Hold mode, which disables the pumps for an hour.

2008–2012 Platinum and Platinum Elite spas with Gecko controls used a Laing circulation pump with an IN-Link plug that connects straight to the Gecko pack. A standard AMP-cord pump will not plug in. If your spa is one of these, tell us; the right answer may be the matching pump or, if the pack itself is failing, a control system upgrade.

Trapped air. A circulation pump run dry overheats fast, which is why both the Platinum Elite and Artesian Elite manuals tell you to fill through the filter well and bleed the circulation line at the pump union before turning the power on — and why air-lock damage is not a warranty item. Bleed the new one before first start.

✅ Not Sure Which Circulation Pump Fits? Verify Before Ordering

Artesian Elite part compatibility varies by model year, serial number, control system generation, cord connection and part revision.

To help us identify the correct replacement, please send clear photos of:

  • The label on your existing circulation pump
  • The cord plug end where it meets the spa pack
  • The pump in place, showing the unions
  • Your spa serial number sticker

EZ Hot Tub Parts can confirm fitment before you order and help you avoid costly returns.
