Shop Balboa Circuit Boards for Hot Tubs and Spas

The circuit board is the “brain” of your Balboa spa control system — it manages heating, pump relays, sensor input, and communication with the topside control. A failing board is one of the most common causes of no heat, no power, stuck relays, or unresponsive topside panels.

Balboa circuit boards are used across many spa brands, and boards that look nearly identical can run different firmware, sensor layouts, or connector styles. Confirming your exact board number — not just the general system name — is the key step before ordering.

✅ Not Sure It Fits? Verify Before Ordering

Balboa board compatibility can vary by spa brand, model, year, serial number, and board revision.

To help us identify the correct replacement part, please send clear photos of:

  • Your board label, part number, or chip number
  • Your spa serial number sticker
  • Your equipment bay or installation area

EZ Hot Tub Parts can help confirm fitment before you order and help reduce costly returns.

How to Identify Your Balboa Circuit Board

Before ordering, try to locate:

  • The board part number printed directly on the board
  • The chip or software revision number
  • Your control box or spa pack label
  • Your spa’s make, model, and serial number

Balboa has produced many board generations, including the VS Series, EL Series, BP Series, Value Series, and GL Series. Boards within the same series can still differ by revision, so matching the exact part number is more reliable than matching by appearance alone.

Board vs. Full Spa Pack — Which Do You Need?

If your enclosure, terminals, and heater tube are still in good condition, replacing just the circuit board is usually the more cost-effective repair. A full spa pack replacement is typically only needed when the enclosure or heater tube itself has failed.

Common Signs of a Failing Circuit Board

  • No power or a completely dead spa
  • No heat despite pumps running
  • FLO, HL, or sensor-related error codes
  • Pump
