Island Spas Circuit Boards & Spa Packs — Match by Era

The circuit board is the brain inside your spa’s cabinet; the spa pack is the complete enclosure it lives in. Island Spas boards follow the same era splits as the rest of the control system: 2007–2012 (board plus a separate daughter board on many configurations), 2013–2017, 2018–2024 (board and daughter board), and 2025+ Gecko on redesigned models. Boards from different eras do not swap, even on the same model name.

2013–2017 owners, read this first: the bare circuit boards for these years are obsolete part numbers. The correct repair is the complete Island Spas Spa Pack (2013–Current) — the newer 2018–2024 board is physically larger and will not fit inside the 2013–2017 pack enclosure. The good news: your existing control panel from those years is fully compatible with the newer pack, so the panel stays.

Board, daughter board, or complete pack? If diagnostics point to the main board alone, a board swap is the economical repair. The daughter board is a secondary expansion board used on certain configurations — it fails independently of the main board. If the enclosure, connections, or heater assembly are damaged too (a common story after a freeze or a flood in the equipment bay), the complete spa pack is the cleaner repair.

Match by era first: 2007–2012 and 2018–2024 boards are listed above, along with spa packs covering 2007–2012 and 2013–current. 2013–2017 spas skip the bare board and take the complete spa pack (see below). Then confirm with the sticker on your existing board and your spa’s serial number — send photos through the form and we’ll verify before you order.

The original boards for those years — the 2-pump 33-1312-08CB and the 3-pump 33-1310-08CB — are obsolete part numbers. The repair is the complete Island Spas Spa Pack (2013–Current): the newer 2018–2024 board is physically larger and won’t fit the older pack’s enclosure, so a board-only swap isn’t possible. Your existing 2013–2017 control panel is compatible with the new pack, so you only replace the pack.

The circuit board is the electronic board itself; the spa pack is the complete control enclosure — board, wiring connections, and on most systems the heater assembly, in one unit. Board-only is the economical fix when the board alone failed; the pack is the right call when the enclosure or heater went with it, or when your era’s bare board is obsolete.

A daughter board is a smaller secondary board that plugs into the main circuit board to run additional functions on certain Island Spas configurations. Island Spas used era-specific daughter boards (2007–2012 and 2018–current versions are listed above). It can fail while the main board is healthy — which is why we ask for photos before you replace either.

An error code on a readable display usually means the panel is doing its job and the fault is downstream — board, sensor, heater, or flow. A blank or scrambled display points at the panel instead.
