Maax Spas filter buying guide

Slip-fit, 8″ across. 13″ long = 75 sq ft EZ18 (Pleatco PCS75N, Unicel C-8475) in ProAqua or Darlly; 9″ long = 50 sq ft (Pleatco PCS50N, Unicel C-8450) in ProAqua or Darlly. The EZ18 is the cartridge Maax shares with Coleman, Vita and American Whirlpool.

Screw-in, 5-5/8″ across, 2″ thread. 8″ long = 35 sq ft (Unicel 5CH-35, Pleatco PMAX50P4, Maax 104309) — ProAqua / Darlly; 6″ long = 25 sq ft (Unicel 5CH-25, Pleatco PMAX25P4, Maax 108868) — ProAqua / Darlly. These two are Maax-specific.

Drop-in, 4-15/16″ across, open both ends. 20-1/8″ long = 75 sq ft EZ28 (Unicel C-4975, Pleatco PRB75) — ProAqua / Darlly; 14-7/8″ long = 27.5 sq ft EZ31 (Unicel C-4301, Pleatco PMT27.5, Filbur FC-1616) — ProAqua; 13-5/16″ long = 25 sq ft EZ24 (Unicel C-4326, Pleatco PRB25-IN) — ProAqua / Darlly. How do I know which Maax spa filter I have?

Measure across the end cap and look at the bottom. 8″ across with a push-on fitting = slip-fit (13″ or 9″ long). 5-5/8″ across with a 2″ thread = screw-in (8″ or 6″ long). 4-15/16″ across and open at both ends = drop-in (20-1/8″, 14-7/8″ or 13-5/16″ long). Send a photo through the form above if in doubt.

Do Maax, Coleman and Vita use the same filters?

They share the slip-fit 75 sq ft EZ18 and the 25 sq ft drop-in EZ24; Coleman also shares the slip-fit 50. The 5-5/8″ screw-in cartridges and the 75 sq ft (EZ28) and 27.5 sq ft (EZ31) drop-ins are the Maax-specific sizes on this page.

How long do Maax hot tub filters last?

About a year with a rinse every 2–4 weeks and a monthly soak in filter cleaner. The drop-in cartridges run in pairs — replace both together.
