Vita Spas Filter

Vita Spas used nine different cartridges over the years, but they sort into three families in seconds: screw-in (a 2″ or 1-1/2″ thread on the bottom), slip-fit (a smooth fitting that pushes on) or drop-in (open both ends). Pick the family, then match the diameter.

Every Vita cartridge is offered in ProAqua and Darlly; the 45 sq ft coarse-thread EZ11 is stocked in Hurricane and the slotted 50 sq ft in genuine Pleatco. If your filter matches none of the cards, send a photo through the form below.

✅ Not Sure It Fits? Verify Before Ordering

Hot tub filter fitment varies by spa brand, model, year, filter size, thread style and top/bottom style.

To confirm the correct replacement, send clear photos of:

  • The label or end cap of your current filter
  • Your spa serial number sticker
  • The filter well with the filter removed (so we can see the fitting)

EZ Hot Tub Parts confirms fitment before you order, so you do not pay return freight on a wrong filter.

Vita Spas filter buying guide

Screw-in, 6″ coarse thread (EZ11). 45 sq ft, 6″ across, 8-1/4″ long, 1-1/2″ coarse SAE thread (Pleatco PWW50P3, Unicel 6CH-940). The most common Vita cartridge and stocked here in Hurricane and ProAqua.

Screw-in, 2″ MPT thread. Four sizes share this thread: 8-1/2″ × 7-1/4″ 50 sq ft with handle (Pleatco PVT50WH-F2L, Unicel 8CH-502 — the 2005-and-newer handle version), 7″ × 14-3/4″ 50 sq ft (Unicel 7CH-50), 6″ × 9-7/8″ 35 sq ft (6CH-35), and the small 4-5/8″ cartridges at 19, 20 and 25 sq ft (Pleatco PVT25P4 / PMA20 class, Unicel 4CH-21, 4CH-20, 4CH-24). Diameter first, then length.

Slip-fit 75 sq ft (EZ18). 8″ across, 13″ long with a male slip fitting on the bottom (Pleatco PMA45-2004 class, Unicel C-8475) — the cartridge Vita shares with Maax and American Whirlpool. Shop EZ18.

Drop-in and open cartridges. The 25 sq ft EZ24 (Unicel C-4326, PRB25-IN) is open at both ends; the 8-1/2″ slotted 50 sq ft (Pleatco PVT50W, Unicel C-8350) is the pre-handle version of the 8CH-502 — we stock the genuine Pleatco and offer ProAqua.

Vita Spas filter questions

How do I choose the right Vita Spa filter?

Three checks: does it screw in, push on (slip fit) or drop in; how wide is the end cap (4-5/8″, 6″, 7″, 8″ or 8-1/2″); and if it threads, is the thread the fine 2″ pipe type or the coarse 1-1/2″ type. Those three answers pick one cartridge on this page. Still unsure? Send a photo through the form above.

How long do Vita Spa filters last?

About a year with a rinse every 2–4 weeks and a monthly soak in filter cleaner. Replace sooner if the pleats stay grey after soaking or an end cap cracks. Keeping a second set to rotate makes both last longer.

Is the Vita Spa filter the same as a Maax filter?

For the slip-fit 75 sq ft EZ18 and the 25 sq ft drop-in EZ24, yes — Vita, Maax and American Whirlpool share those cartridges. The screw-in Vita cartridges are Vita-specific sizes.

Do I need the handle version or the slotted version of the 50 sq ft Vita filter?

Look at the top of your old cartridge. A molded handle means the 2005-and-newer threaded version (8CH-502 / PVT50WH); an open slotted top with no handle means the older PVT50W / C-8350 that lifts out. Both are 8-1/2″ across.
