Artesian Filters

Artesian Spas builds six hot tub brands, and they do not all use the same filter. Pick your brand below and we will take you straight to the cartridges that fit it — with the Pleatco, Unicel and factory part numbers listed on every one.

Not sure which one you own? The brand name is on the topside control panel and on the silver serial-number plate inside the equipment door. Artesian Elite runs two large cartridges plus a circulation filter. Island Spas and Tropic Seas Elite run one large plus one circulation. Tropic Seas Standard, South Seas and most Garden Spas run a single filter. TidalFit swim spas run three or more.

Buy the whole set, not one filter. Every Artesian spa runs its filters as a matched group and they load up at the same rate. Replacing one and leaving the others is why a tub still looks cloudy after a “new filter.” Our bundles are built as complete sets for each model — a 2-pack for Island and Tropic Seas Elite, a 3-pack for Artesian Elite, and multiples of those when you want a spare set on the shelf.

Which Artesian Spas Filter Do I Need?

Artesian Spas of Las Vegas builds six hot tub and swim spa brands. They share a factory and a filtration philosophy, but they do not share one filter. The table below is the short answer — find your brand, note the set, and click through to the cartridges that fit.

Your Artesian brand What a full set is Shop
Artesian Elite Two large cartridges + one circulation filter (sold as a 3-pack) Artesian Elite Filters
Island Spas Two filters: one large + one circulation (2-pack = one set). 2025 and newer use a single tall 75 sq ft cartridge instead Island Spas Filters
Tropic Seas Spas — Standard models One filter only (EZ01 large). Our 2-pack is two changeouts, not a set Tropic Seas Filters
Tropic Seas Spas — Elite models Two filters: one EZ01 large + one EZ02 small (2-pack = one set) Tropic Seas Filters
South Seas Spas One filter only (EZ04 drop-in). Our 2-pack is two changeouts, not a set South Seas Filters
TidalFit Swim Spas — newer One large + one circulation (2-pack = one set) TidalFit Filters
TidalFit Swim Spas — older Two large + one circulation (3-pack = one set)
TidalFit Dual Temp Three large + two circulation (5-pack = one set)
Garden Spas Screw-in (EZ02) or drop-in (EZ03) depending on model — check the old one Garden Spas Filters

Read the pack size carefully. A "2 pack" does not mean the same thing on every Artesian brand. On a spa that takes two different filters — Artesian Elite, Island, Tropic Seas Elite — a 2‑pack is one complete set, one of each. On a spa that takes a single filter — Tropic Seas Standard, South Seas, most Garden Spas — a 2‑pack is two of the same cartridge, which is a changeout plus a spare. Check which one you own before you order, or send us the details using the form at the bottom of this page.

Identifying Your Spa

The brand name is printed on the topside control panel and stamped on the silver serial-number plate inside the equipment door. If the panel is worn, the serial plate is the reliable one — it also carries the model year, which matters for Island Spas (2025 changed cartridges) and Garden Spas (thread style changed).

If you still have the old filter, read the top of it. Every cartridge we sell is listed with its Artesian factory number, its Pleatco and Unicel equivalents, and our own EZ number. Any one of those will find the right part in our search box.

✅ Not Sure It Fits? Verify Before Ordering

Hot tub filter compatibility can vary by spa brand, model, model year, filter dimensions, and top and bottom end style.

To help us identify the correct replacement filter, please send:

  • Your spa brand and model
  • Your spa model year, if known
  • The diameter and length of your existing filter
  • Clear photos showing the top and bottom ends of your existing filter

EZ Hot Tub Parts can help confirm fitment before you order and help reduce costly returns.

About EZ Numbers

Filter part numbers are a mess across the industry — the same physical cartridge can carry an Artesian number, a Pleatco number, a Unicel number, a Filbur number and a Darlly number. We keep our own EZ house numbers so you only have to remember one. EZ01 is the large cartridge used across Artesian Elite, Island, Tropic Seas Elite and TidalFit. EZ02 is the circulation filter that pairs with it, and it is also the screw-in filter in many Garden Spas. If you have bought from us before, the EZ number on your last order will get you the same part again.

Artesian Spas Filter FAQs

Often the cartridges themselves are the same, but the set you need is not. Artesian Elite runs two large plus one circulation filter. Island Spas and Tropic Seas Elite run one large plus one circulation. Tropic Seas Standard runs a single large filter on its own. So an Island 2‑pack in an Elite spa leaves you a filter short, and a Tropic Seas Elite 2‑pack sends a Standard owner a circulation filter their spa has no place for. Buy the set that matches your brand and model, not the cartridge that looks familiar.

Yes, and this is the most common mistake we see. Your filters load up at the same rate because they share the same water. Replacing one and leaving the others is why a tub still runs cloudy after what feels like a fresh filter. Every bundle we sell is built as a complete set for that model.

Plan on a fresh set every 12 months with normal use, and rinse the set every 3 to 4 weeks in between. Heavy bather load, hard water, or a spa that runs year-round in a cold climate will shorten that. Pleated media does not recover once the fibres pack down — when a rinsed filter still drops your flow, it is finished.

Yes. Island Spas changed to a single tall 75 sq ft cartridge for 2025 and newer, replacing the earlier two-filter arrangement. Check the model year on the serial plate inside the equipment door before ordering — the two are not interchangeable.

They are different manufacturers of the same cartridge sizes. We carry factory Artesian cartridges, Hurricane (made in the USA), Pleatco, and ProAqua, and they all fit the same housings. The differences are media quality, warranty and price. Our filter brand comparison lays out which to pick and why.

Only if the physical dimensions match exactly — diameter, length, and both end fittings. A cartridge that is the right diameter but a different length lets water bypass the media entirely, so the spa looks like it is filtering and is not. Match on all four measurements, not on square footage. Send us your dimensions using the form below and we will confirm before you buy.

Send us a photo of the topside control panel and of your old filter standing next to a tape measure. That is almost always enough for us to identify the spa and the cartridge. Use the fitment form below and it reaches us directly.
