Garden Spas Filter Replacement — Types, Cross-Reference & Care

Every Garden Spas filter we carry is a guaranteed-fit replacement for Garden Spas built by Artesian Spas. Screw-in models (Wisteria, Plume, Forsythia) get the full brand lineup — USA-made Hurricane (in stock, ships same or next business day), genuine OEM factory-direct, Pleatco, ProAqua, and the refillable EGO3 cartridge. Drop-in models get OEM, Pleatco, ProAqua, and the top-load EGO3 Cartridge #5. Compare all five filter brands here.

Garden Spas Filter FAQs

Check how your current filter is held in place. If it threads into the well, you have a screw-in EZ02 (Wisteria, Plume, Forsythia). If it lifts straight out of a compartment, you have a drop-in EZ03 (Viola, Hydrangea, Hibiscus, Camellia, Iris, Azalea).

The screw-in EZ02 cross-references to Pleatco PAS40-F2M, Hurricane HF6H352-01, and ProAqua SPP-PA-6502, plus the genuine Artesian OEM version — it’s the same 6″ x 8″, 35 sq ft, 2″ MPT filter platform used across several Artesian spa lines.

The screw-in EZ02 threads into the filter well with a 2″ MPT fitting and filters under suction. The drop-in EZ03 has no threads — it sits inside the filter compartment under a cover and lifts straight out for cleaning. They are not interchangeable.

Rinse between the pleats with a high-pressure filter nozzle, and soak in a filter cleaner solution monthly. Keep a second filter to install while the cleaned one dries fully — a dirty filter is the number one cause of freeze damage and premature pump failure.

For screw-in models, USA-made Hurricane offers premium high-flow filtration at a mid-range price and ships same or next business day. Budget-focused owners choose ProAqua; owners who want exactly what came with the spa choose genuine OEM. Converting to the refillable Ego3 cartridge eliminates filter purchases entirely.

Garden Spas are built by Artesian Spas, and the screw-in Garden models share the EZ02 circulation filter platform with several other Artesian lines — so genuine Artesian OEM filters are the factory-original fit, and the same aftermarket cross-references apply.
