Viking Spas use one screw-in cartridge (the 6″ coarse-thread EZ11) and a family of drop-in cartridges that differ only by length and width — plus a tiny 10 sq ft skim filter. Measure across the end cap and end to end and the card below picks itself.

Viking Spas filter buying guide

Screw-in 45 sq ft (EZ11). 6″ across, 8-1/4″ long, 1-1/2″ coarse thread (Pleatco PWW50P3, Unicel 6CH-940). Stocked in Hurricane, USA-made and ProAqua.

Slim drop-ins (EZ20 and the 8.5 sq ft twin). 2-7/8″ across and 17-1/16″ long with 2-1/8″ open ends: the 14.5 sq ft EZ20 (Unicel C-2302, Pleatco PRB14.5, the cartridge Nordic Bella 2017+ also uses) and the lighter 8.5 sq ft C-2303 (Pleatco PRB8.5). Same envelope — check the pleat count on the label if you have it.

Standard drop-ins. 4-5/8″ × 11-7/8″ 20 sq ft (C-4320); 4-15/16″ × 13-5/16″ 25 sq ft (C-4326, PRB25-IN); 4-15/16″ × 11-7/8″ 32 sq ft (C-4332); and the short 4-5/8″-tall 35 sq ft (C-4401, sold as pairs by most makers). All open both ends.

Skim filter 10 sq ft (EZ26). The little 4-1/4″ × 4″ basket cartridge (Pleatco PWW10, Viking 89680) that sits in the skimmer. Shop EZ26.

Which Viking spa filter replacement do I need?

If it threads in, the 45 sq ft EZ11. If it lifts out, measure the width: 2-7/8″ is the slim EZ20 (or its 8.5 sq ft twin), 4-5/8″ is the 20 sq ft, 4-15/16″ is the 25, 32 or 35 sq ft depending on length. A 4″-tall cartridge in the skimmer is the EZ26. Send a photo through the form above if the numbers fall between sizes.

Do Viking spas use two filters?

Many do: a main screw-in or drop-in cartridge plus the small skim filter in the skimmer basket. Replace both on the same schedule.

How often should a Viking hot tub filter be replaced?

The main cartridge about once a year with monthly cleaning; the small skim filter and the slim EZ20 wear faster and are cheap enough to replace every 6 months.
