Maple Spas Filters
Maple Spas hot tubs use the PWW50L filter — a 50 sq ft cartridge with a 1-1/2″ inside thread that screws into the skimmer (Unicel 4CH-949, Filbur FC-0172, our EZ05). Some Maple models take two. Every brand and pack size for it is below.
Your Maple Spas filter
Before you order, unscrew your filter and check it: about 5″ across, 13-3/16″ to 13-1/2″ long, handle on top, thread inside the bottom. If your filter has a black twist-off top with a sanitizer basket, or the numbers do not match, send a photo through the form below and we will confirm the fit.

Hot tub filter fitment varies by spa brand, model, year, filter size, thread style and top/bottom style.
To confirm the correct replacement, send clear photos of:
- The label or end cap of your current filter
- Your spa serial number sticker
- The filter well with the filter removed (so we can see the fitting)

Maple Spas filter buying guide
One cartridge, four brands. The PWW50L (Unicel 4CH-949, Filbur FC-0172) comes from several makers. Hurricane is made in the USA and stocked in Minnesota; ProAqua high flow and ProAqua antimicrobial are drop-shipped; Darlly is the budget option.
Two filters? Maple’s manual notes that some spas run one filter and some run two. On a two-filter spa, replace both at once with a Hurricane 2 pack, ProAqua 2 pack or Darlly 2 pack.

Maple Spas filter questions
Maple Spas hot tubs use the PWW50L — Pleatco PWW50L, Unicel 4CH-949, Filbur FC-0172 — a 50 sq ft cartridge with a 1-1/2″ inside thread that screws into the skimmer. We list it as the EZ05.
Order a 2 pack of the same cartridge so both filters are replaced at the same time.
Some newer Maple Spas ship a filter with a twist-off black top that holds sanitizer tablets. Send us a photo of your filter and its measurements through the form above before ordering so we can confirm the fit.
Maple recommends against floating dispensers. Put sanitizer tablets in the skimmer basket instead.
Every 12 months, with a rinse every 2–4 weeks and a monthly soak in filter cleaner. Keep a second filter so one is always clean and dry.
