Jacuzzi Filters

The Jacuzzi filter you need depends on the series and the thread: J-300 and J-400 tubs take a big 7″ coarse-thread cartridge (EZ10) or its 60 sq ft successor, J-200 tubs take a drop-in (EZ04), and the fine-thread 40 sq ft cartridge (EZ19) is shared with Sundance. Check the thread on your current filter before ordering.

Every Jacuzzi filter above is offered in ProAqua and Darlly, and the EZ10 and EZ19 are stocked here in ProAqua; the pill buttons on each product page switch between every brand and pack. Jacuzzi changed cartridges across model years, so if your filter does not match a card, send a photo through the form below.

✅ Not Sure It Fits? Verify Before Ordering

Hot tub filter fitment varies by spa brand, model, year, filter size, thread style and top/bottom style.

To confirm the correct replacement, send clear photos of:

  • The label or end cap of your current filter
  • Your spa serial number sticker
  • The filter well with the filter removed (so we can see the fitting)

EZ Hot Tub Parts confirms fitment before you order, so you do not pay return freight on a wrong filter.

Jacuzzi filter buying guide

J-300 and J-400 (EZ10). The classic Jacuzzi skimmer filter: 7″ across with a 2″ male coarse thread, cross-referenced to Jacuzzi 6540-476, Unicel 6CH-960 and Pleatco PJW60TL-F2S, and shared with Cal Spas Connect and Escape models. Stocked here in ProAqua; Darlly drop-ships.

60 sq ft outside thread. A slightly narrower 6-3/4″ cartridge with the same 2″ thread and a slotted open top, cross-referenced to Jacuzzi 6541-383 and Unicel 6CH-961. If your J-300/J-400 filter measures under 7″ across, this is the one.

Fine thread 40 sq ft (EZ19). 5″ across with a 2″ male fine thread (Jacuzzi 6540-723, Unicel 5CH-402), also used by Sundance and Tuff Spas. Coarse and fine 2″ threads do not interchange — count the threads per inch or compare against the picture.

Drop-in 50 sq ft (EZ04) is the open-ended 13″ cartridge for J-200 Series tubs, the same part some 35 other brands use. Jacuzzi also used 25 and 37 sq ft drop-ins and larger open-bottom cartridges on specific models; those are listed on this page too — match by size and end style.

Jacuzzi filter questions

Which filter fits a Jacuzzi J300 hot tub?

Most J-300 and J-400 tubs take the 7″ coarse-thread EZ10 cartridge (Jacuzzi 6540-476 / Unicel 6CH-960); later tubs take the 6-3/4″ 60 sq ft outside-thread cartridge (6541-383 / 6CH-961). Measure the diameter of your current filter: 7″ is EZ10, 6-3/4″ is the 60 sq ft.

Are Jacuzzi hot tub filters the same as Sundance filters?

Some are. Jacuzzi and Sundance are sister brands and share the fine-thread 40 sq ft EZ19 and several drop-in cartridges, but the J-300/J-400 skimmer filters are Jacuzzi-specific sizes. Match by diameter, length and thread, not by brand name.

Do I need a genuine Jacuzzi filter?

No. Jacuzzi cartridges are made to standard dimensions and sold under ProAqua, Darlly, Pleatco and Unicel numbers; the product page for each filter lists the Jacuzzi part number it replaces. Fit is identical when size and thread match.

How often should a Jacuzzi filter be replaced?

About once a year with monthly cleaning; the J-300/J-400 skimmer filter works hardest and is usually the first to need replacing. Keep a spare so the tub never runs on a wet, half-cleaned cartridge.
