Hydropool hot tubs and swim spas used five cartridges, and Hydropool’s own part number on your old filter picks most of them: 4520008 (75 sq ft drop-in), 4520016 (Teleweir inside thread), 4520020 (coarse thread) or 4520007 (50 sq ft drop-in); a few tubs use a short 35 sq ft drop-in. Drop-in 75 sq ft, EZ28 (Hydropool 4520008). 4-15/16″ across, 20-1/8″ long, open both ends (Pleatco PRB75, Unicel C-4975, Filbur FC-2395) — ProAqua / Darlly.

Teleweir inside thread, EZ05 (Hydropool 4520016). 5″ across, 13″ long, handle top, 1-1/2″ female thread inside the bottom (Pleatco PWW50L, Unicel 4CH-949) — Hurricane, stocked, ProAqua or ProAqua antimicrobial.

Coarse thread, EZ11 (Hydropool 4520020). 6″ across, 8-1/4″ long, 1-1/2″ coarse male thread (Pleatco PWW50P3, Unicel 6CH-940) — ProAqua / Darlly.

Drop-in 50 sq ft, EZ04 (Hydropool 4520007). 4-15/16″ across, 13-5/16″ long, open both ends (Pleatco PRB50-IN, Unicel C-4950) — ProAqua / Darlly.

Which Hydropool filter part number do I have?

Check the end cap or your manual for a 45200xx number: 4520008 is the 75 sq ft drop-in, 4520016 the Teleweir inside-thread, 4520020 the coarse-thread, 4520007 the 50 sq ft drop-in. No number? A female thread inside the bottom = Teleweir; a coarse male thread = EZ11; open both ends = drop-in (20″ long is the 75, 13″ the 50, 9-1/4″ the 35).

Do Hydropool swim spas use the same filters as the hot tubs?

The cartridges are shared across the line; swim spas typically run more than one and the 75 sq ft drop-in is the usual choice. Replace all cartridges in a multi-filter tub together.
