Gatsby Spas Filters

Gatsby Spas used three small cartridges: two screw-ins with a 2″ thread (6″ across with a handle, or 4-5/8″ across with a cone handle) and a closed-top drop-in with a string loop that lifts out. Look at the bottom, then the diameter.

✅ Not Sure It Fits? Verify Before Ordering

Hot tub filter fitment varies by spa brand, model, year, filter size, thread style and top/bottom style.

To confirm the correct replacement, send clear photos of:

  • The label or end cap of your current filter
  • Your spa serial number sticker
  • The filter well with the filter removed (so we can see the fitting)

EZ Hot Tub Parts confirms fitment before you order, so you do not pay return freight on a wrong filter.

Gatsby Spas filter questions

How do I tell which Gatsby spa filter I have?

Bottom first: a 2″ threaded nipple means screw-in, an open hole means drop-in. Screw-ins: 6″ across with a flat handle is the 47 sq ft; 4-5/8″ across with a pointed cone handle is the 25 sq ft. The drop-in has a closed top with a string loop. Send a photo through the form above if unsure.

What are the Gatsby Spas filter part numbers?

47 thread: Pleatco PTL47W-P, Unicel 6CH-47, Filbur FC-0315. 25 thread: Pleatco PGS25P4, Unicel 4CH-24, Filbur FC-0131. Closed-top drop-in: Pleatco PJW23, Unicel C-5601, Filbur FC-1330.

Are Gatsby filters shared with other spa brands?

Yes — the 4CH-24 cone-handle cartridge is common on Saratoga and Jacuzzi-era small tubs, the 6CH-47 on Tuff and older Vita models, and the PJW23 on early Jacuzzi/Sundance in-line wells. Fit is by dimensions, not the brand name on the cabinet.

How often should a Gatsby spa filter be replaced?

Every 12 months with a rinse every 2–4 weeks and a monthly soak in filter cleaner. These are small cartridges that load quickly, so a spare to rotate pays for itself.
