Dynasty Spas use two main cartridges: the Teleweir skimmer filter that threads in from inside its bottom (EZ05) and the 50 sq ft drop-in that lifts out (EZ08). Pull your filter — a female thread recessed in the bottom means Teleweir, open ends mean drop-in.

Dynasty Spas filter buying guide

Teleweir 50 sq ft (EZ05). 5″ across, 13-3/16″ long, handle top, 1-1/2″ female SAE thread inside the bottom (Pleatco PWW50L, Unicel 4CH-949, Filbur FC-0172). The most common skimmer filter on the market; stocked in Hurricane and ProAqua, drop-shipped in Darlly.

Drop-in 50 sq ft (EZ08). 5-5/16″ across, 10-1/8″ long, 2-1/8″ open holes both ends (Pleatco PLBS50, Unicel C-5345) — Pleatco lists it for Dynasty and Leisure Bay. Stocked in Hurricane; ProAqua too.

Short 35 sq ft drop-in. 4-15/16″ across but only 4-5/8″ tall (Unicel C-4401, Pleatco PRB17.5SF-PAIR); makers sell it in pairs because the well stacks two. Shop it here.

What kind of filter does a Dynasty hot tub take?

Either the Teleweir EZ05 (female thread recessed inside the bottom, 5″ across) or the open-ended drop-in EZ08 (5-5/16″ across, 10-1/8″ long). Pull yours and look at the bottom.

My Dynasty filter has threads — which one is it?

If the thread is inside the bottom of the cartridge (you screw the filter down onto a post), it is the Teleweir EZ05. Dynasty cartridges with a male thread sticking out are uncommon; send a photo through the form above.

How often should a Dynasty filter be replaced?

About once a year with monthly cleaning. Both cartridges are stocked and inexpensive, so a spare set to rotate pays for itself.
