Standard vs. Elite Filter Setups

Standard Tropic Seas models commonly use a single filter. Elite models commonly use two — one large (such as the Pleatco PAS50SV-F2M / EZ01) and one smaller (such as the Pleatco PAS40-F2M / EZ02). If your spa takes two filters, replace both at the same time so filtration stays balanced.

How to Match Your Filter

  • Length and diameter — measure your existing filter
  • Thread style and bottom fitting — threaded vs. drop-in, fine vs. coarse thread
  • Top style — handle, closed top, or open core
  • Part number on the end cap, if legible

When to Replace Your Filters

Rinse filters every 1–2 weeks, deep-clean monthly, and replace roughly every 12 months — sooner with heavy use. Cloudy water, weak jets, FLO errors, and a heater that struggles are all classic symptoms of a filter past its prime.
