Why MinnSpas Refurbished Spas Are Different
Not all “refurbished” hot tubs are rebuilt the same way. If a spa wasn’t refurbished by MinnSpas, it may simply be a used trade-in. Many resellers reuse existing components or install rebuilt motors and call the spa “refurbished.”
At MinnSpas, we take a different approach.
Our refurbished hot tubs are not even filled with water until major mechanical components — including pumps, motors, and the heater — have been replaced as needed. We rebuild the mechanical foundation first.
Only after mechanical restoration do we begin water testing, leak detection, sanitation flushing, and performance verification.
What Our Refurbishing Process Includes
Every refurbished spa goes through a comprehensive inspection and rebuild process that may include:
- Internal cabinet removal
- Bottom pan inspection
- Plumbing repairs
- Multiple system flushes
- Leak detection and repair
- Sanitation flushing
- Performance verification
- Minimum three-day water test run before delivery
Most models receive:
- New jet pumps or motors
- New heater assembly
- New pillows
- New spa cover
If a stereo system is installed, we replace speakers as needed and update the system with Bluetooth capability.
We use new replacement components where required — not recycled or unknown-condition parts.
We remove the siding and bottom so we know exactly what is leaving our facility.

Refurbished Spa Warranty
Every MinnSpas Refurbished Hot Tub includes:
- 90-day warranty on the complete spa
- 1-year warranty on major components:
- Pumps
- Motors
- Heater
- Circuit board
- Topside control
Our warranty mirrors typical original manufacturer policies.
Items typically not covered include:
- Lighting systems
- Pillows
- Cosmetic items
- Access costs
- Transportation and travel time
- Diagnostic fees
- Freeze damage
We are clear about what is included so there are no misunderstandings.
